The 2014 Christmas and Holiday Season is upon us with crisper air, cool climates, gentle breezes nipping at our noses, and the annual Festival of Lights at Galveston’s ! Come awaken and illuminate your Christmas Spirit throughout the trail and surround yourself among a million Christmas lights, decorations, and music. Galveston has its own Winter Wonderland among Moody Gardens which also features opportunities to capture moments with Santa, glide along with your partner while ice skating, enjoy a holiday train ride, and a holiday buffet feast in The Garden Restaurant!

The Festival of Lights touches on all things Christmas including a narrated light display of The Christmas Story, Texas Christmas displays, and a spectacular kid’s wonderland! The lights guide you through an exterior pathway throughout Moody Garden’s with family photo opportunities, views of the majestic bay, and a Christmas tree on the water! New to the Christmas exhibits is the debut of Ice Land: Ice Sculptures with SpongeBob SquarePants! Professional ice carvers from Harbin, China sculptured 900 tons of ice to bring the characters of SpongeBob SquarePants to life! This is the only ice sculpture exhibit on the gulf coast – perfectly chilled at 9 degrees, and parkas available for your pleasure! The Festival of Lights, Ice Land, and other Christmas exhibits are seasonal and open until January 3rd, 2015! Park and rides are available throughout the parking lots of Moody Gardens.
